Launched by the Real Bread Campaign in 2009 as Real Bread Maker Week, this is the annual, celebration of Real Bread and its makers. The main aim of the week is to encourage people to get baking Real Bread or buying it from local, independent bakeries. From the office we run a national media campaign, and help people who run activities to promote their events and enterprises themselves locally. Between 11 and 17 May 2013, pages on the Real Bread Campaign website received more than 13,000 unique views, including nearly 2000 of our Real Bread Finder map, 650 of our Real Bread classes list and 580 of our notes for home bakers. You can see highlights of media coverage we and our supporters have generated for the Real Bread Campaign here. We need to raise money so we can continue our work as the only organisation that is dedicated to championing Real Bread and its rightful place at the hearts of our local communities. This includes: To help supporters dress for the occasion, our friends at Balcony Shirts have created a limited edition I ‘Loaf’ Real Bread apron. The one-size aprons are available in brown, white or dark blue and cost £15 (plus £2.95 p+p*) of which Balcony Shirts will donate £3 to the Campaign for each one they sell.
