As spring returns Grandparent Gardening Week is the perfect time to kick start your school garden, and to engage grandparents, carers and the wider community (including local allotment holders) to provide support, advice and guidance on gardening.
If your school is enrolled on the Food for Life programme we want to hear how Grandparent Gardening Week has taken shape in your school through your Food for Life blog. Tell us what you did? How you plan to use the produce? How many grandparents attended? Send us quotes and pictures you have from the day. The best blog will be awarded a VegTrug.
Leicestershire Schools To celebrate the birthplace of Grandparent Gardening Week and the success of the regional event last year. Food for Life Schools in Leicestershire have an additional chance of winning a second VegTrug, donated specifically as a prize for Leicestershire schools.
How to enter All schools can get blogging by logging into your school portal and don't forget to add photos! Our awards team will be selecting the winners and will be looking for entries that best show how you have engaged your community community.
