This position is ideal for a self-starter with excellent writing chops, journalism experience, a strong interest in the food system, an eye for detail, and a willingness to jump in and help support our daily reporting on food news and politics. The associate editor will help compile our weekly news roundup, produce our subscriber newsletter, do some fact-checking and research, load stories and do occasional proofreading. They will also have room to develop their own story ideas when time allows and contribute to the larger vision of the website. This is a contract gig, not a full-time position.
