On Friday 18th March, apprentices from Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant will be put to the test on a busy trading day.
As part of National Apprenticeships Week the Fifteen apprentices will have three days to plan, prepare and take a hot food product to sell at Borough in an ‘Apprentice’ style challenge.
Working in teams the apprentices will source all their ingredients from the wealth of traders within the Market and will even have to pass a Borough Market food quality panel, something which all traders who join the Market undertake.
The apprentices will start their day at the Market at 11am when they ring the bell to open the Market, they will then have until 2.45pm on their stalls in Floral Hall to sell as much as they can. The winners will be the team that generates the most profit, of which will be donated to a charity of their choice.
So why not pop along to the Floral Hall on Friday 18th March between 11am - 3pm and lend your support?
