Job Description
Frog Hollow Farm is a family owned and operated organic orchard located in Brentwood, CA. We are renowned in the Bay Area and beyond for our exceptionally delicious fruit and artisan food products. We are committed to land stewardship and are proud to make our own compost, host nesting sites for owls, bees, and bats and incorporate 13 acres of habitat plantings throughout our orchard.
Frog Hollow Farm is looking for a dynamic, self motivated and detail oriented individual to become our Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for our year round Community Supported Agriculture program. You will work as part of a small three person team on a part-time basis. The Coordinator may work remotely from the Bay Area or choose to work at the farm in Brentwood.
Primary Responsibilities: Community Outreach and Direct Sales:
Identify new outreach partners to host tasting/tabling events and promote the CSA
Work with CSA members and site hosts to plan sales/ outreach events and disseminate information about the CSA to their networks
Coordinate outreach and tasting events
Represent Frog Hollow CSA at outreach and tasting events
Create promotional materials for events such as fliers, posters, template emails, and online listings
CSA Member Engagement and Tracking:
Perform weekly calls to maintain membership including welcome calls, member renewal calls and other customer service calls
Update member subscriptions as needed
Create and maintain call lists and tracking documents for all membership calls
Track member referrals and organize appreciation efforts
Compile and track school holiday calendars, oversee school delivery change communications and coordinate outreach opportunities
Assist at three farm based CSA member events per year
Contribute to the weekly newsletter and CSA website
Assist with creating email marketing campaigns for specialty products
Manage CSA social media
Draft and disseminate other member communications as needed
Administrative Responsibilities:
Upload newsletter content to website via wordpress
Create and maintain calendars and tracking documents
Format newsletter content in InDesign
Create team meeting minutes
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest in food systems and sustainable agriculture
Organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and self motivated
Excellent communication skills over the phone, in person and in groups
Dependability and willingness to be flexible with schedule availability
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated experience in a relationship building capacity
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently
Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and social media platforms
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with Wordpress, Adobe Indesign and Photoshop and Mail Chimp
Experience with or interest in graphic design
Experience with or interest in developing craft projects
Ability to recruit volunteers for CSA member events
Direct marketing and outreach experience
Requirements:
This position requires reliable transportation other than public transportation.
This position requires the employee to be a licensed driver with a safe driving record.
This position requires some weekend work and may require early morning work or late evening work.
If working remotely, this position requires a computer and telephone.
Conditions of Employment:
This is part-time hourly position starting at $20.00 per hour
This position is between 22-30 hours a week, depending on season
The employee may choose to work remotely within the Bay Area with weekly meetings at the farm.
Compensation this position is PAID: hourly
